Solid plasterboard sheets have made the installation process of drywall much easier and faster over time, although getting them into position does still pose its own set of disadvantages which must be recognized before installing. Because of the universally large size the sheets come in, they are great for large walls, but need to be cut in order to fit smaller or oddly shaped areas. The sheets also carry a fair bit of weight to them, making the installation process one that requires a team of individuals to carry and hold the plasterboard in place. Once the sheets are cut to size and ready to be installed it is essential to firmly attach the boards to the frame made of either metal or wooden studs.
